I’m Dr Jasmin Tzortzakakis Malik, a General Practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in trauma-informed healthcare. Throughout my career, I’ve supported people facing the early signs of burnout, chronic stress, and exhaustion.
But I’ve also been on the other side.
After years of over-functioning, juggling roles, pushing through, and working at an unsustainable pace, I was unprepared for what followed when I developed long COVID. My energy, immune function, and physical resilience collapsed. Despite my medical training, I found myself without clear answers. Healing required something different: slowing down, listening more deeply, and rebuilding from the inside out.
This platform is the resource I wish I’d had during that time: practical, compassionate, and rooted in both clinical insight and lived experience..
My mission is simple:
To bridge the gap between what the system offers and what people actually need to stay well.

What I’ve Learned as a Doctor, and as Someone Who’s Been Unwell
“Before long COVID, I was running, cycling, climbing, dancing, working full time, holding it all together. Then suddenly, I couldn’t walk 100 metres without my heart racing. I was inflamed, in pain, exhausted, and lost in the very system I was trained in.
I had to rebuild from scratch, not just as a GP, but as someone whose body had stopped coping. That experience changed how I practise medicine and why I created this space.
I had to slow down. Learn to feel safe in my body again. To stop silencing symptoms and start listening to what they were trying to show me.
That’s what this work is about.
It’s about remembering that your body has been on your side all along.”

I'm Dr Jasmin, a GP with two decades of experience in trauma-informed, inclusive care. I founded Your Health Comes First to support those who, like me, were falling through the cracks.
